Exploring Egypt’s archaeological treasures, I marveled at witnessing the discoveries of temples and artifact collections of the Ancient World. With the opportunity to enter the interior of Great Pyramid, ride a camel across the desert sands, and view the Great Sphinx was truly an adventure’s dream come true.
Illuminated walls and columns of pigmented hieroglyphics, Tomb of Seti I, Valley of the Kings,
Through my lens as a photographer, the Tomb of Seti I, in the Valley of the Kings (burial ground of the pharaohs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Luxor) was the highlight of my trip. It was a magical moment of artistic beauty, as I admired the decorated walls with child-like wonder under the starry ceilings transcending time.

I was fortunate to experience Egypt & the Nile with Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) https://www.abercrombiekent.com and their expert Egyptologist, Ahmed M. Abul Ella who shared captivating stories to provide meaning behind the works on land while then experiencing life along the Nile on the Sanctuary Sun Boat IV.
It is a matter of perspective when exploring the ancient Karnak Temple.
I recommend planning an early September trip (and of course being vaccinated), which, with the small number of tourists, will allow one to frame the shots more easily and cleanly and capture the essence and art of this unique destination. When challenged by distance, timing and high temperatures, A&K streamlined the process by being very organized, visiting sites early, and staying hydrated helped to maximize our experience and focus on the marvels of these Ancient Wonders.
