An artist residency conceived and endowed by SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace, enriches the creative and professional endeavors of distinguished SCAD graduates. Under the mentorship of President Wallace, alumni expand the boundaries of their work, strengthen their connection with their alma mater and join a select group of ambassadors within the university’s global network of emerging artists and scholars.
In the Atelier, I secured new partnerships and created a collection of 21 large-scale collages by experimenting with new techniques, processes and mediums to spotlight Savannah’s premiere hospitality, dining, retail and cultural attractions.

Identified places to be featured; met with general managers and small business owners to obtain permission to photograph their locations and ensure all deadlines were met.
Photographing Pacci's most popular mixologist at work inside The Brice Hotel, a Kimpton Boutique Hotel.
Utilized Adobe Creative Suite to edit images and create interesting designs for the collages.
Using sanded art boards as a foundation, I pre-sealed them with Golden GAC-100 Acrylic Polymer and then coated with acrylic paints for a background. The color printouts were adhered with Liquitex Gel Medium. These collages were also embellished with books, ribbons, handmade papers, menus, dinner plates, artificial shrubs) from a variety of diverse resources for the mixed media collages.
SCAD hosted a reception celebrating the “Atelier Vitrine,” a series of installations on view in the windows of shopSCAD and designed by the Spring 2016 SCAD Alumni Atelier ambassadors. The ambassadors would be working on their art throughout the day and visitors were invited to watch. During the reception, guests had the opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their process. Additional works by the ambassadors were available for purchase in the gallery.
Designed and produced coaster sets of the corresponding images on display in the front window of ShopSCAD. Coasters sets sold out at the Atelier Vitrine Reception.
Guest speaker at the “Art of Communication” classes at SCAD. Also reunited with my original photography professor, Steven Mosch.
