People’s United Bank, in partnership with the Downtown Special Services District, spearheaded an initiative to promote small businesses in Bridgeport—home to historic names like P.T. Barnum & Ringling Bros., Frisbie Pie Company, Singer Sewing Machine, Remington Arms, and Columbia Records. Through a strategic rebranding campaign, the project enhanced the city’s image, building awareness of Bridgeport’s revitalization efforts and promoting its thriving arts, entertainment, dining, and event scene.

Welcome Guide to highlight downtown Bridgeport’s ever growing multitude of dining destinations, attractions, and shops to visitors, employees and local residents.
Aqua Logo design
Photographed United Illuminating’s striped smokestack in Bridgeport’s industrial harbor and convert image. Scanned street map making it a transparency and overlapping it onto the image.
Made several black and white print outs in order to experiments with paints. Used acrylic paints as a wash for the background colors and then splotched paint strokes at random.
Aqua advertising
T-shirts and totes were sold at People’s United Bank store and City Lights Gallery.
Offered complimentary design services (photography, layout and color prints) to create professional flyers for local businesses to advertise while offering an employee discount. Identified and secured popular gathering locations inside the corporate…
