VALENTINE'S DAY
FUNDRAISER

People’s United, in partnership
with the Child Guidance Center
of Greater Bridgeport, hosts
a first-time fundraising event
to benefit the Center.


Objective

To create the design elements
for an inaugural Valentine’s Day fundraising event supporting the Center’s mission and outreach services to children and families
in the Bridgeport area.

Solution

Transform a bank lobby into an festive dining and dancing hall that supports the event theme: “Bring Your Heart to Bridgeport.” Create
a bouquet of floating hearts to serve as the signature image for
the event. The heart graphic is translated into corporate letterhead, “save the date” cards, invitations and more.

Outcome

As a result of its success, this
first-time event became an annual
fundraising event for the Center.
It won praises from company
leaders and prominent guests
for inspiring a giving spirit and
capturing the essence of the
center’s mission. The bank
continues to use this lobby space
for future events while the interior
walls now display over-sized murals
for advertising campaigns.

Prizes included a European trip to France and weekend getaway to Nantucket.

COCKTAIL BAR

Created tarp using fabric, PVC piping for supports and elevation, string and metallic papers for decoration.

STAGE BACKDROP

Created and directed the installation of a 30’ wall mural for the backdrop of the live band on stage.
Design was originaly projected onto the wall for scale. Various sized hearts were then traced and
cut out of a red vinyl fabric. Type was black adhesive vinyl and strings made of electrical tape.
Real Estate services utilized a cherry picker forklift to adhere the materials to the wall by hand.

TABLES + INTERIOR SIGNAGE

Ensured table linens and interior signage were color coordinated with theme.
